CEO's Message

Will Davis

What a great time to join BCEA – The next 100 years are going to have new opportunities and challenges! I look forward to being your CEO and I am very excited to be leading such an important business association.  I look forward to collaborating with you all to leverage new opportunities to increase membership value and growth. Over the next few months, I will actively look to talk with many members, partners, directors, employees and other stakeholders. I plan to use these conversations to increase my enthusiasm for the industry and the value it brings to organizations across British Columbia.  

Having just taken the full reigns from our long-time President and CEO, Barbette, I am getting settled and learning so much about the status of ongoing projects as well as the needs and desires of our members. Working with our Membership Coordinator, Beth Beardsley, we will do our level best to bring the same quality service you have all come to expect.

As the electrical association in BC, we always focus primarily on our members, both corporate and the individuals that make up these companies. There are so many more people and groups that are also important parts of our community. We have members who are also volunteers, committee chairs, and contributors to our project development. We have strategic partners who support our standards, values, and best practices. We work with other professional associations on events, sharing ideas and knowledge to enrich value for all our stakeholders. I want to continue to strengthen these relationships, and through them increase value to our members. 

As we start on this mission, we have three main goals: 

• Supporting the professional development and networking of people working in the electrical industry throughout their careers (lifetime learning); 
• Providing viable business outcomes to our corporations, organizations, and professionals that manufacture, distribute, market, and sell electrical and automation products;
• Engaging, encouraging, and inspiring our members with quality offerings that bring real value and FUN. 

BCEA is made up of so many great people and so many opportunities. I want to engage you and want us to work collaboratively to grow the association and grow the awareness of the value of our work.
